Hi and thank you for your interest in my fine art prints. Here is some general information to acquaint you with the types of prints I make and the pricing. Some prices vary from the below listing. Feel free to ask any, and as many, questions you wish, either by email or we can arrange a phone call.

There are two types of prints you can choose from:
Traditional Silver based photographic prints or Fine Art Pigment Prints - - I sign both types the same way. On the front left, beneath the image, I write the name of the artist. I sign my signature on the right. On some prints, I also write something in the center. I also sign my name on the back of the print. These are just general prices, please inquire for specific images. Not all images are available.

Silver Gelatin Prints, Black and White:
Archival to several hundred years, meticulously hand printed in my studio

Sepia toned Silver prints, when available, are $200 to $400 dollars more.

Some color prints (the lesser known images) are a few hundred dollars less expensive.

Fine Art Pigment Prints:
Fine Art Pigment Prints are printed on an acid free double thick paper, with an archival life of over 200 years before any perceptual change in color or fading occurs.

Color images are printed on a textured fine art paper and Black and White images on a semi-gloss paper similar to that of traditional silver gelatin photographic prints. This is only available for some images.

(Image sizes for all of the above are approximate since the negative sizes vary.)

My advice:

In most cases the Silver Gelatin prints (the traditional classic type of photographic print) are a better quality image and are the type most highly valued by collectors. Their value will increase over the years as they are being phased out as the standard medium of photographic printing.

My Archival Pigment prints are close to the same visual quality as the traditional silver based print. Unless you compare them side by side, you would not notice anything “missing” from the Fine Art Pigment type of print. It is nicer than most prints you would see anywhere. The difference is luxury vs. super luxury, not minimal vs. luxury. As this difference varies from image to image, please ask me my opinion for various images you may be interested in. I use these Fine Art Pigment Prints for many of my exhibitions. So if you just want to look at the image and enjoy it, the Fine Art Pigment Prints are enough. If you want the collector’s value or that little edge, choose the Silver prints.

If you purchase prints you have not seen personally, I offer a return policy on some of them, but not all. It depends on whether I have the print in stock or have to make it specially for your order. Please inquire about this specifically.
